(when uninstalling a Windows OS component such as IE, Windows will attempt to restore the previous version of IE. If the packages for IE11 are not completely uninstalled successfully, it may be due to issues (missing components) in the component store.Ĭheck the CBS.log, or as Alex advised, use CheckSUR, to confirm health of the SU subsystems.
I tried to just run the install again with same error as in my original post.
I tried removing again with same error as in my original post and I rebooted but it still shows as installed.
The command appeared to uninstall 4 or 5 modules with no errors and the command ran fairly quickly.
